What a long week. Between working and raiding, I've been sleep-deprived a couple days and never really caught up. My guild started up fulltime (5 evening) raiding schedule again now that Sunwell Plateau has been released on WoW. For whatever reason that is completely wearing me out. We did kill Kalecgos last week and again this week and are set up to spend three nights on Brutalis (or beyond) before the next reset. As much as I've liked raiding, I'm finding myself weary of it. It takes very little to change a night of anticipation to a night of dreary "work". So I suspect my raiding days are numbered or that I really need a good long break. If only another, non-raiding game would come out and grab my attention.... perhaps... Warhammer!? Not till fall now. Sigh.
In other game news, this week I'm trying The Glass Bead Network and it looks great. I haven't quite figured it all out yet but I think it's going to involve some or all of my brain and be pretty compelling.
And in Second Life, I'm making clothes. Just for me. Nothing too fancy, but for once they're actually turning out as planned with little effort to get the templates functioning and Photoshop behaving the way I expect it to. A far cry from some of my earlier attempts, so this feels like real progress! This week I made a little asymmetrical tanktop thingy and a pair of basic jeans, from scratch, no photosourcing.
Nothing compares to the adrenaline rush of a brisk wintry rush through the AV battleground, killing everything in sight on the way to capture the Frostwolf Relief Hut and secure our glorious victory against Drek Thar! Today I wanted to see if my Netherwing Ally trinket works in AV, and it does! So very sweet having my own little mini-mage nuking the heck out of anything that gets in my way. Take that you over-petted hunters.
And in raiding news, we're up to Leotheras in SSC and take out Gruul, Mags and Void Reaver weekly. You would think killing the same bad guys over and over would get old. Well, it does, but it takes a loooong time. (Just ask any superhero how they feel about their nemesis.) And after years of being holy, shadow is not getting old fast, not by a long shot.
